SeConS – Development Initiative Group conducted a monitoring and evaluation of the project “STOP- CARE- CURE: a stronger institutional response to gender based violence in AP Vojvodina”. The project was implemented by the Provincial Secretariat for Health, in partnership with the Women’s Support Center – Kikinda, with the support of the United Nations Trust Fund to support actions to eliminate violence against women. The implementation of the project lasted for three years (from January 2016 to January 2019).

Monitoring and evaluation were carried out according to clearly defined criteria. The purpose of the evaluation was to determine whether the implementation of the project contributed to the elimination of violence against women and girls in AP Vojvodina, and to assess whether good cooperation was established between the partners who implemented the project and in what way the project is related to other initiatives in the region, at the national and international level. Also, the evaluation team tried to determine whether the three-year implementation of the project contributed to the adoption of existing and the creation of new examples of good practices, in order to empower violence against women. The main findings, conclusions and recommendations of the evaluation should serve both project implementers and decision-makers at central, provincial and local levels in order to improve the existing state by undertaking actions that would lead to the elimination of gender-based violence.
