SeConS Development Initiative Group conducts research on the status and needs of returnees in Serbia with the task to provide a detailed assessment of the needs and socio-economic position of returnees for their better (re)integration into Serbian society and economy.
The aim of the research is to describe the social position and social inclusion of returnees under the readmission agreement, to identify strengths and obstacles and to propose recommendations for improving their position. Topics covered include access to personal documents, housing, employment, income, education, health and social protection, access to social services and the local community without discrimination, the capacity of returnees and their households in terms of education, skills and employment, as well as migration patterns leading to return and readmission.
