The overall objective of the project was to strengthen capacities of the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering (IMGGE) by establishing an expert centre for molecular genetics of rare diseases and a management system for the protection and exploitation of intellectual property and technology transfer, as well as to identify the potential of this scientific institution of becoming self-sustainable. Redefining of strategic goals for the development of IMGGE enables further advancement (planning and realization) of scientific work, linking with medicine and economy and exploitation of intellectual property, including the increase of social impact of the Institute.
